BUSINESS OWNER, PHYSICIAN, FAMILY MAN:
Knute Buehler is a business owner and physician who has helped build and manage a clinic that employs 170 Oregonians. Knute has proven to be an innovator and problem solver with concrete ideas and plans to address the issues that matter most to us.
An active civic leader, Knute serves on the boards of the Ford Family Foundation and the St. Charles Medical Center. He has worked for years on multiple initiatives to reform state election laws,
Knute lives in Bend with his wife Patty, and children Owen and Hannah.
RHODES SCHOLAR, NATIVE OREGONIAN, TEAM PLAYER:
Born and raised in Roseburg, Knute learned the the values of hard work, family and community from his parents Werner and Dollie. Success in the classroom and on the baseball diamond took Knute to Oregon State University, where he continued to excel in both places. Knute became OSU’s first Rhodes Scholar and earned a master’s degree in politics and economics from Oxford University.
INNOVATOR, REFORMER, CIVIC LEADER:

After Oxford, Knute attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he met his future wife, Patty. The two married in 1990 and returned to Oregon to complete their medical residencies at Oregon Health and Sciences University. In Bend, Knute helped build and manage a medical clinic that employs 170 Oregonians. He has also developed innovative computer assisted surgery techniques, received patents for products distributed around the world, and served as a leader in his community and Oregon.
Knute Buehler is the Republican and Independent Party Nominee for Oregon Secretary of State. This is his first run for public office.
